Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 5 are receiving a new update

The new software update is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 5 devices. This is an incremental update and it contains a security patches for the month of December.
Build number of these patches is G950USQS2BQL1 for S8 and G955USQS2BQL1 for S8 Plus models. First carrier to bring these upgrades is the American T-Mobile, and some Korean users have pointed out that they also receiving this OTA-type update, so only selected countries get the update on the first day until they arrive to other users within two or three days. Note 5 also got an update which weighs 17 MB. Update brings performance and stability corrections, minor bugs corrections and a security patch.

Before starting the update, it is recommended to have over 50% of the battery and to make sure your phone is connected to the network. You can also check if this update is currently available by going to the Settings – About phone – System updates, but you should certainly get a notification on the home screen.
