Cracking sound also discovered on iPhone x
After iOS 11.0.2 update fixed buzzing and cracking sound issues on iPhone 8 and 8+ devices, once again, they show up on iPhone X models. Larger number of users reported that their iPhone X smartphone produces cracking sounds, as well as buzzing ones, when calling or listening to music. Also, those problems appear when alarm or ringtone is ringing, or any other cases where phone is at it's maximum volume. It is possible that this is distorsion problem, but larger number of users said they are pretty sure this is hardware or software related.
