HTC to roll out Android Pie by June 2019
Google is getting ready to release the first developer preview of the new Android Q, however, there are still companies which struggle to release even the Android Pie for their devices. HTC, the company from Taiwan, has announced that they will release the update for three of their phone by June 2019.
We wanted to share the status on the Android 9 update. HTC is currently working on ensuring the update is compatible with our phones & we anticipate a release for U11, U11+ & U12+ customers starting Q2’19. Exact timing defers to operators’ availabilities in different countries.

The phones that are scheduled to receive the update are HTC U11, HTC U11+, and HTC U12+. Once these devices receive the update, they will join the HTC U11 Life (Android One) which is currently the only HTC phone that runs on Android Pie. We hope the company delivers the update as promised.
