Huawei once again ridicules Apple and Samsung
Italian Competition Authority fined Apple and Samsung two days ago with a combined €15 million fine after a "complex investigation" that proved that both companies issued updates that slowed their older hardware, thus forcing the users to buy new devices. Apple claimed that they had done this in order to preserve the battery, since over time its life span degrades, so they slowed down the chips in order for them to use less power.
We would never slow our phones down to force an upgrade. We're proud our new #HuaweiMate20Pro is #BornFastStaysFast – just like every other phone in our range. #NeverSlowDown Learn more now > https://t.co/Fn1ADt5VBW pic.twitter.com/AJihfosqAM

On the other hand, there's Huawei, and they rarely miss the opportunity to say that they are better, faster, or fairer than the competition. Remember the time when they gave out free power banks to people who camped in front of the Apple store in line to buy a new iPhone? It is the case now as well, and if you visit their Twitter page you'll find claims that they will never slow down their phones on purpose.
