LG granted patents for K40s and K50s in Europe
LG will announce several phones at IFA 2019, including some mid-rangers and budget devices. EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) has granted he Korean company has received patents for the K40s and K50s. This means that LG can use these names freely across the EU.
The certified phones, the K40s and K50s are expected to be an update over the LG K40 and LG K50. These previous models were announced six months ago at MWC 2019 in Barcelona.
While specs of the budget devices are not yet known, their predecessors are MIL-STD 810G compliant, which can be expected this time as well.
