Microsoft giving up from Windows phones
Windows phones got no perspective, and the fact for that conclusion is that Joe Belfiore, corporative vice-president of operative systems in Windows wrote on his Twtter account that "Microsoft will continue to support the platform.. bug fixes, security updates, etc. But building new features however is not the focus." Reason to this, as Belifore said, is that no one from developers supported this platform. They have tried to pay them and write apps for them, but it did not work out, and overall number of users was too low for companies to invest. Fact that Windows phones are history, is known for a loger time already, but untill now, no one from Windows admitted this situation. This platform had 0.1% shipped devices this year, same numbers as "Other". Android had 85% shipped devices, and iOS, 14.7%.
