New iPhones XS, XS Max and Xr now released, here’s what new
New iPhones by Apple have last night been announced in Cupertino, USA, and now in the lineup there is an iPhone Xr, iPhone XS and iPhoone XS Max. All these devices now come with FaceID and with no fingerprint scanner, with a notch and new color options. Here's what makes these devices special!
Apple iPhone XR
The cheapest device of the 2018 lineup is the Xr, which on its front panel has a 6.1" LCD display with the aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and resolution slightly smaller that FullHD, but with similar capabilities to OLED displays.
The Xr compared to its brothers comes with only a single 12 megapixels sensor which is equipped with new photo modes such as Smart HDR, bokeh effect etc. Videos recorded by the main camera can be captured in 4K resolution at 60fps. When it comes to the front facing camera, there we have a 7 megapixels sensor with HDR support. This camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
New A12 Bionic chipset can be found here as well. This chipset is 15% faster compared to the previuos A11, and it is 50% more power efficient. The Xr comes in three storage configurations: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. Available color options are White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Coral and (Product) Red. This phone costs 750$ – €849€ – £749 depending on the market.
Apple iPhone XS
This phone has a 5.8" OLED display of the same resolution as on the last year's X (2436 x 1125 px). Something new for iPhones is dual SIM support. Chinese version of the Xs will have two dedicated nano SIM card slots, while American and global versions have an eSIM and one physical nano SIM card slot.
Cameras located on the back of this phone have the resolution of 12 megapixels each, both are optically stabilized. All this comes with a hefty price though, so this device is abailable for "only" 1149€, 1000$ or 999£ de[ending on the market. Available color options are Space Grey, Silver and Gold.
Apple iPhone XS Max
It is worth to mention that both these phones, XS Max and Xs have IP68 water and dust resistance certificate, which means that these devices will be capable of withstanding submerging up to 2 meters for 2 hours. Everything is basically the same in these two devices, except for the screen size.
iPhones Xs and Xs Max will be available for pre-orders on September 14, and they will be in stores on September 21, while the "budget" iPhone Xr will be release for pre-orders on October 19, and it will be in stores on October 26.
