Samsung comes up with two new camera sensors

ISOCELL Fast 2L9 and ISOCELL Slim 2X7 are two new camera sensors unveiled today by Samsung, world leader in semiconductor technology. As market is flooded with slimmber, but bigger phones, Samsung comes up with Fast 2L9, and Slim 2X7 sensor.

This sensor model delivers precise and fast auto focus drive, because it is based on Double Pixel technology. Double Pixels, means that instead of one, every pixel has two photodiodes, with overall 12 milion of pixels placed in 1,28μm sensor. This principle also enables depth of field effect, for bokeh photos. Because of this size, 2L9 can be adapted to market and smaller camera modules on new devices.

ISOCELL Slim 2X7

As first sensor ever made under 1μm, Slim 2X7 which measures 0.9μm, can achieve high color accuracy, because of ISOCELL technology, deep trench isolation reduces color crosstalk. This sensor is made out of 27 milion pixels, and it is going to allow new smartphones to build high resolution cameras. Tetracell technology implemented in 2X7, makes better shots in low light environments, it merges 4 neighboring pixels to work as one, and result is increased light sensitivity.
