An upgrade for the Helio P60 is in the works

An upgraded version of the Helio P60 chip by the Taiwanese-based company, MediaTek is in the works according to a report. In attempt keep up the high demands from several Chinese smartphone manufacturers.

Presuming that ARM’s Mali G76 will be integrated within the updated Helio P60 along with the 12nm process, it will result in enhancing the chip’s energy consumption and performance. The Taiwanese company is also anticipated to improve the capabilities of their AI.

There is currently no announcement when the updated chip will be unveiled but reports say that it might happen around the second half of 2018.
