Android P Beta 1 released for PH-1 Smartphones

The PH-1 smartphone by Essential is now transitioning from “developer preview” to “beta” status with the new build being more stable than Google’s Android P Developer Preview beta 2 that was released earlier today. The quality of the Preview Beta builds that Google released are more “alpha” than “beta” status even though it was labeled as “beta”.

The Essential’s Preview Beta update contains the June security patch, the latest Android P code integration, improved adaptive brightness range, and increased stability. Owners of the Essential smartphone who have updated to Android P Developer Preview Beta 1 can move to Android P Beta 1 through OTA. Owners can also manually download the update from Essential’s website.
