Another Waze feature now in Google Maps

Google Maps app already does things pretty well. It has the best maps, incredible Street View, as well as real-time traffic congestion view. It does a great job calculating optimal route taking all this into account, however, it did lack one major feature that Waze had for years, and that is the on-screen speedometer.

The new feature can be turned on in the app settings menu (Navigation Settings), after which the speedometer icon will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen. It will warn you when you go faster than the limit. This new, long-awaited feature comes directly from Waze, and at the moment it is available to drivers in the US, Belgium, the UK, and Brazil. As far as the rest of the world is concerned, they will have to wait a bit longer. This app has recently received another big new feature – live marking of radars and traffic accidents. All these features add up to Google Maps being the best tool that almost everyone uses on their smartphone.
