Galaxy A8s to get rid of the notch

Samsung recently started changing their strategy, and they started putting the latest and greatest tech solution into their mid-range devices instead of waiting to place it into the flagships. This was the case in the Galaxy A9 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) that had the quad and triple camera setup, both first for Samsung.

Also, at the event held to introduce the A9s and the A6s, Samsung hinted towards the new Galaxy A8s. This will be the first phone of it's kind, trying to solve the problem of the infamous notch while shrinking the bezels even further. Samsung offered a solution to only cut out a hole in the upper left corner of the device which will house the selfie camera and all other front facing sensors. This is one way to get rid of the notch whilst maximizing the screen to body ratio. We still don't have any information as to what this device may cost, what its specs may be and so on, but we are surely bound to learn more soon enough.
