Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL received an update
An update that today reached Google Pixel 2 phones brought a new scene selector, as well as the shortcut towards Google Lens. This interfaceis actually extracted from the Pixel 3 family, however, the update doesn't include enhanced night time modes and top shot mode present in the Pixel 3. These updates should still come to the Google Pixel 2 shortly.

Photo modes are now located above the shooter button. Earlier we had to choose the modes through the menu, but now they are available by simply sliding left or right. It is the same design as employed by Samsung or Apple devices. At the moment, the camera application runs on the version 6.1.013. Users of first generation of Google Pixel phones also reported that they have received the same update on their somewhat older phones.
