Huawei and Samsung go all in!

It is a known thing that smartphone manufacturers are in a race to produce a 5G enabled device as well as a foldable phone. At the moment, two manufacturers are leading in this race, Huawei and Samsung. However, Huawei chose to kill two birds with one rock stating that their first foldable device will also be the first one capable of 5G connecitons. Huawei's Deputy Chairman Ken Hu also said that such a device will come earlier than expected in mid-2019.

Meanwhile, Samsung's CEO DJ Koh said that they will release a foldable phone by the end of 2018. We also know that Samsung already has a 5G modem ready to be implemented, but we can't say for sure whether these two features will come together or in separate devices.
