iPhone 11 launch date accidentally revealed
SoftBank Mobile President, Ken Miyauchi, revealed at a press conference when the new iPhone lineup will go live. He said that the new phone will go on sale ten days before the end of September. Taking into account Japanese precision, this means that Apple will release the phones for purchase on September 20. This is not a huge surprise though, as it’s completely in line with Apple’s release schedule in the past years.
Miyauchi revealed these details while answering a question about a new telecommunications law which goes into effect on October 1.

The law he talked about will require carriers in Japan to deduct data cost from device prices in clients’ contracts. Miyachi stated that it’s still not clear how SoftBank will handle the iPhone launch as the phone is coming only 10 days before the new law steps to power.
He did try to cover up what he said after he realized that he said too much. He stated that “no one knows when the iPhone will launch” but the damage was already done.
Let us remind you the iPhone XS and XS Max were released on September 21. The XR followed shortly and came in October due to manufacturing issues. This time, however, we believe that all iPhones will come at the same time.
