Apple pushes security patches to iPhone and Apple Watch

Apple has released two software updates yesterday. These updates are affecting the iPhone and the Apple Watch, and bear version numbers iOS 12.4.1 and watchOS 5.3.1. These downloads weigh 101MB on iOS, and 55MB for the Watch. According to the company, they provide important security and stability updates and are recommended for all users.

These updates should already be installed on your devices. If they for some reason haven’t reached your device, go to Settings (on iOS) > General > Software updates, or go to the Watch app > My Watch > General > Software Update for your wearable.

Although Apple officially still hasn’t said anything regarding the security issue, the rumor says that the iOS update is actually released in order to patch a jailbreaking vulnerability that somehow came back into iOS with the version 12.4.
