New gaming phone by Razer is here – check it out!
Razer has unveiled their new gaming phone, the Razer Phone 2. This is a follow-up of the last iteration, and its quite improved compared to last generation. Let's check it out together and see what we have.
In the screen design section, Razer obviously doesn't agree with other manufacturers. They went for a 5.7" IGZO LCD panel with QHD resolution and old fashioned 16:9 aspect ratio display. It's a bit brighter compared to the last one at 580 nits, and it will do a much better job in the dark. Also, we have variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and the display supports DCI-P3 wide color gamut. All this essentially means that the views are almost flawless – everything that you see will look outstanding.

Under the hood we have a Snapdragon 845 chipset that, if Razer has done a good enough job, will never experience thermal throttling, since it now has the new vapor chamber cooling system. Together with the chipset we have 8GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage memory. The battery powering up all this has the capacity of 4000 mAh, and it supports QuickCharge 4.0+ and fast Qi wireless charging, up to whopping 15W!
When it comes to the camera segment, we have a double camera setup on the back, and it's much better compared to how it was last time around. The main sensor is a 12 megapixel Dual Pixel AF sensor with OIS and the aperture of f/1.75. The second sensor is a 12 megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom and f/2.6 aperture.

Software-wise, we have Android Oreo 8.1 at the moment, and Razer has promised that they will be releasing a software update soon.
This whole package is not exactly cheap, as the starting price is around 850€, however, if you really enjoy gaming on your phone, it will be worth it since this is definitely one of the best devices out there it terms of gaming performance.
