New Kirin 990 ready for 5G

Chipset is one of the main features crucial for a good phone. In its essence, it powers the phone and help it work properly. Huawei definitely succeeded in distinguishing themselves in the mobile chipset industry. As we found out, they already started building a new, next generation chipset – the Kirin 990. It is expected to be available near the beginning of next year, which is definitely quick, since the Kirin 980 was only introduced in September this year.

Reports also say that TSMC is going to be the company to produce the chipset on behalf of Huawei. Kirin 990 is expected to be a 5G enabled chipset built on a 7nm process. It should include Cortex-A76 cores, and there is no doubt it will be lightning fast.
