OnePlus co-founder: no more 3.5mm port
Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus, says that the company's new flagship won't sport a 3.5mm headphone port. You won't be left without any options though because the have released a pair of affordable USB-C headphones.
He stated that in order to make a great phone, a company should not necessarily put every possible component into it. The logic behind removing the port is a survey conducted by OnePlus that revealed that more than half of their users use wireless headphones. They also plan on placing new tech into the now free volume inside the device, probably a bigger battery but we don't know yet.

When it comes to headphones, you'll still be able to use your old 3.5mm headphones since OnePlus 6 will come with a dongle converter. These new OnePlus Bullet V2 headphones that will come with a Type-C plug will have a built-in Cirrus Logic DAC and will only cost $20/€20
