Pixel 3 and Note9 have best selfie cameras, says DxOMark

World renowned i respected smartphone camera test, DxOMark, has been testing main camera sensors for quite some time now. However, now they chose to reach out a little further and start testing selfie shooters as well. They have done this by analyzing more that 1500 photos and more that 2 horus of video taken by 13 different smartphones.

The winning place ended up being shared by the Google Pixel 3 and the Galaxy Note9. Both these phones are well above the runner up, which surprisingly is the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, while the Apple's flagship is only in the fourth place. It's interesting to notice that the Galaxy S9+ has a significantly lower score than te Note9, even though both phones utilize exactly the same hardware.

According to DxOMark, it seems that the Google Pixel 3 produces the best selfies which capture the best details and textures, but it does end up producing just a little bit of noise in the process. The Note9 makes completely noise-free photos, but with less details. When it comes to video, the Note9 is the winner here, as captures videos with great colors, stabilization and excellent face exposure.
