Redmi 8 spotted in live images – looks great

After passing through TENAA certification which revealed its key specs, the Redmi 8 was spotted in live pictures.  These photos have not only revealed the design, but they also confirmed the Qualcomm 439 chipset, as well as MIUI 9.7.11 on top of Android 9 Pie.

On the front, the Redmi 8 will have a 6.21-inch HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop notch. Inside the notch, there will be an 8MP selfie camera. The bottom bezel looks a bit thick and features Redmi branding. On the back, there is a vertically aligned 12 MP and 8 MP dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. The chassis seems to be made of polycarbonate and features reflective red hues.

Memory-wise, the phone will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. The Redmi 8 will be announced soon at a company event which will likely take place in September.

Also, Redmi Vice President Lu Weibing also confirmed he’s testing the upcoming Redmi Note 8. This phone is rumored to be the first Redmi device with a 64MP sensor. The phone will also have a bigger battery and higher screen to body ratio compared to the Redmi Note 7. take a look at the photos in the gallery below.
