Samsung Galaxy A50 emerged on Geekbench
New smartphone from the Galaxy A series, model number SM-A505FN emerged on Geekbench, and it's more than likely that this is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A50.
What Geekbench revealed to us are some key specifications of this smartphone. Based on what Geekbench shows, we can see that the new smartphone is powered by the new Exynos 9610 chipset. Exynox 9610 was announced this March, it is built on a 10nm process, it uses 4 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz ans well as another 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz that serve to perform less demanding tasks. When it coms to the GPU we have a mid-range Mali-G72 MP3. Another thing we do know is that this phone will run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie OS, and together with the chipset there will be 4GB of RAM memory. Connection options offered by the chipset include all current features such as WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo. Also, this chip will allow for recording slow motion videos at 480fps in FullHD 1080p resolution.
The new smartphone scored 1615 point in single core, and 4380 in multi core test. These results are not that impressive compared to devices that are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 and 670, however, the results don't have to mean much since we know that benchmark scores mean very little in real life.
It is expected that the new Galaxy A50 will make a debut at the beginning of next year.
