Samsung Galaxy S10’s fingerprint reader doesn’t work with third party screen protectors

We believe that many of you like to use the third party screen protector in order to even further increase the safety of devices you paid good money for. New rumors now seem to suggest that the new Samsung flagships will have an issue with screen protectors.

According from this tweet, the company Armadillotek claims that they have tested their screen protectors, and that the in-display fingerprint scanner built into the S10 and the S10+ simply won't work when the proctors are placed over them. Samsung will use ultrasonic fingerprint technology which is faster, more accurate and more reliable than optical fingerprint tech, but it seems that it has some issues itself.

We have to be honest though since we don't know whether the company has tested all possible option. Not all screen protectors are made equal and we believe that Samsung themselves may end up producing their own version of the protector that will work.
