Samsung to become more eco friendly
Samsung Electronics has stated that in the future its products will be more eco friendly than ever before. They plan to do this by replacing plastic in their packages with paper, recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials.
They are planning to start putting to practice this new idea from H1 2019. This means that many Samsung's products including phones, tablets and home appliances will now on be packed in sustainable materials. There will be no more plastic other that bio-based plastic. Phones will no longer come held in plastic, and wrapping bags will be made of eco friendly materials.
Furthermore, the Samsung phones' chargers will no longer come in glossy finish, rather they will be matte which will entirely eliminate any plastic protection in order to reduce the use of plastic. Also, they will not be using ordinary paper but instead a special eco friendly type certified by environmental organizations. This will all be taken care of by a special task force that will design, develop and market the new packaging.
