Self regenerating oleophobic coating
Samsung is no stranger to paradigm shifting moves. They proved this when they introduced a curved edge display back in 2014 (Samsung Galaxy Note Edge). Although it was a major selling point, it also represented a weak spot, so it is not rare to see cracked displays on Samsung devices.
Samsung reportedly wants to change this according to a patent on WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization). They have pantented self-healing oleophobic coating to go over the Gorilla Glass. This might be a major breakthrough towards a completely foldable display that we've been hearing about for quite some time. Rumors say that a device with a flexible display might come to market as soon as early 2019.
