Sony Xperia 20 to launch at IFA 2019

A few days ago we heard rumors saying that Sony will launch a successor to the Xperia 1. The company will launch the new phone at this year’s IFA. The Xperia 2 won’t enter the market alone – it will come together with Sony Xperia 20, the successor to the last year’s Xperia 10.

This specs sheet shows the configuration meant for the Japanese market. We don’t expect Sony to make extremely different devices for different markets. They usually differ in RAM and storage configuration.

The Snapdragon 710 will replace the older Snapdragon 630. The Sony Xperia 20 will also come with a 6.0″ FHD+ display, and 21:9 aspect ratio. This chipset will come paired with either 4 or 6GB of RAM and either 64 or 128GB of internal storage.

On the back, the phone will have a double main camera setup. Both sensors will have the resolution of 12MP, however, we don’t know whether the secondary camera will be a telephoto or an ultra wide-angle sensor. Xperia 10 only has a 5MP depth sensor instead.
