System update is out for some Note 8 devices
Some Reddit users have reported today that their Note 8 models received Android Oreo 8.0, a full version of the system. The company has not yet stated anything about the new system and announced any update, but they arrived.
It is possible that this is a soak test, to see how Oreo works on these models before releasing the full version of the system to a global area.
Oreo beta program is also active for S/S8+ which will end on January 15th, meaning that we can expect full system versions on these models by the end of the month. It's strange that on the flagship models from 2017 we just see Oreo updates, while at the same time we expect the new Android for 2018.

Build number on the Note8 models is R16NW.N950FXXU2CRA1.DM for this update, and some updated items are:
- Update to the keyboard
- Picture in picture support
- App specific long press menus from launcher
- Secure folder can be set to stay unlocked until the screen goes to sleep
- Autofill API support with bio-metrics for all apps, and browser
- Colored media notifications
- Notification categories
- Customization options for notification badges
- Keyboard uses gify for gif search support
- More edge lighting options
- Ability to ONLY view Samsung cloud items
- Ability to backup Samsung secure folder in Samsung cloud
- Bluetooth, high-quality audio codecs
- Manage passwords of Samsung and third party apps with Samsung pass
- Android Security patch for January
