A12 is slower than Kirin 980, Huawei claims
This year's IFA saw the intorudction of the first 7nm chipset. Huawei unveiled their new Kirin 980, which will be implemented into Huawei's new flagshipst Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. Huawei now claims that their new flagships will be faster than Apple's A12 Bionic that powers 2018's iPhones line-up.
Technically, Kirin 980 is the first 7nm processor, since it was announced before the A12, although the A12 was the first to become commercially available to consumers. It will definitely be interesting to see how these two devices compare, and we can't wait to test both of them!
