CarPlay now supports Google Maps on iOS 12
Apple has made quite a few changes in their iOS, and one of them should come in handy to people who use their phones with CarPlay. It's no secret that Google Maps is the to-go app when it comes to nagivation, and Apple has now chosen to embrace it, meaning that you can use Google Maps in your car through CarPlay. Google has even updated their app to version 5.0 just to enable this functionality.
Some compromises have been made though, for example, Siri doesn't work with Google Maps, but there is still a built-in voice assistant. Essentially, just log into your Google account and you're good to go!
