EMUI 10 based on Android Q coming in September

Huawei announced a new version of its user interface – the EMUI 10. The new software will be based on the upcoming Android Q. It will offer a redesigned interface, system-wide dark mode, faster performance, and several new features.

Starting off with the design, the EMUI 10 will come with more polished icons and improved animations. The new dark mode will encompass third party apps, which is a great addition for those who prefer darker menus. There are more clock and calendar styles as well as additional Always on Display options.

When it comes to performance, the EMUI 10 will be more responsive due to improved EROFS file system and GPU Turbo 3.0, which promises faster interactions and reduced latency when switching between apps.

Huawei’s HiCar will let you pair your phone to work on your car’s infotainment system and control music, navigation and even functions like AC in supported vehicles.

The first device to launch with the new UI will be the upcoming Mate 30 while P30 owners can expect to get the new firmware starting September 8.
