Google Maps receives accident and speed traps reports

If you use Waze, then you are very familiar with community based road status reporting. This feature is now available on official Google Maps. The new "Traffic Accident" and "Speed Trap" operations are just part of what Waze has, but they are greatly welcomed to the application that is used by virtually every person with a smartphone.

Last year, Google tested these new features. When an update is available and installed, while driving and using the app, new report button will appear below the zoom and mute buttons, and when selected, you get the option to add the location of the traffic accident or the present speed trap.

Google has not announced anything official about new features, and we are not sure at this time if they could be available for all devices globally. Only a few users to whom this update is enabled have got these options, so latest version from the Play Store will not bring new features on your phone at this time.
