Google’s plans for 2019 leaks in a report

Leaks have been pouring in about the Google's mid-range Pixel phone that the company is planning to release to compete with the iPhone XR. Not only about this phone, but a Taipei based Nikkei agency released a complete roadmap for Google products for this year.

Speaking about the Pixel 3 Lite, nothing much has been specified, although there are some useful pieces of information. We know that the phone will be cheaper than the premium Google Pixel 3 and 3XL in order to compete with the iPhone XR, although it will probably be cheaper than the iPhone. The report suggests that the phone will cost anywhere between $150 and $700, but we expect the price to be set at between $500 and $650.

The Google Pixel 3 Lite is not the only device Google's planning to launch though. They are planning to release an updated smart speaker, successor to the Google Home. Another category, "web camera" also made its way into the reports, leading us to believe that Google will release a new Nest security camera. At the end, there is also a piece of information stating that Google will release a new premium phone towards the end of the year, which is hardly a surprise.

Sadly, the report didn't give us any sort of timing for any of the products, so we'll have to wait for the annual I/O developer conference to learn more about the future of Android and Google services.
