Huawei CFO arrested in Poland due to espionage

Polish authorities have on Friday arrested Weijing W, the Chief Financial Officer of Huawei in Poland, as well as one of his former menagers Piotr D., who was the VP of the cyber security department. Both were arrested due to allegations that they have commited espoionage for China.

We know that American officials consider Huawei a great security threat. The company has drawn a lot of attention after the Huawei founder's daughter was arrested in Canada last month, due to allegations that the company has violated American sanctions against Iran. Huawei denied any sort of connection with the Chinese government and they added that they follow the rules and regulations of each country they operate in.

Two men face 10 years in prison if Polish authorities find the guilty of espionage. Both of them will be detained for the period of 3 months.
