Moto G7 running on Snapdragon 625 spotted on Geekbench

New Motorola generation of smartphones, the new G series, is on the very horizon. It is expected that this series will have at least four different devices: the baseline G7, the G7 Plus, G7 Play and G7 Power. Today on the Geekbench we could see the baseline Moto G7, and the listing revealed some of the specs.

Based on the Geekbench listing we can see that this phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 paired with 3GB of RAM. The listing however doesn't reveal how much storage the phone has on board, but it is expected that this version will have 32GB of memory expandable via microSD card. Also what we know is that the phone will work on the latest Android 9.0 Pie version of the OS.

Previous rumors claimed that the Moto G7 will be a redesigned Moto G6. The new Moto G7 will have a waterdrop notch on top of the displaz as well as a fingerprint scanner on the back. It is expected that this phone comes with a double camera setup on the back (16MP + 15MP sensors), while the front facing camera will have a 12 megapixel sensor and a back-up LED flash. This phone will have a 6" FullHD+ display, and a 3500 mAh battery with fast charging support.

The new smartphone scored 1260 points in single core and 4759 points in multi core performance. These results are not exactly impressive compared to the ones scored by other phones running on different Qualcomm chipsets such as the Snapdragon 660  and Snapdragon 670. The Moto G7 will most probably be revealed sometime next month at an event in Brazil.
