Nokia to bring an update that will implement face unlock for the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8, and Nokia 7

Nokia announced over a tweet that an update via OTA is coming for the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8, and Nokia 7 plus that will implement the face unlock feature this coming months.

While the security for the phone with the face unlock won’t offer much because of the hardware built on the phones are quite inadequate, it will still be convenient if correctly applied.

It’s unknown if the rest of HMD Global’s Nokia devices will also receive it but the chances of it happening are lower due not passing the right requirements for the chipset to run the facial recognition system properly.
