Redmi 64MP camera phone entered mass production
We talked last month about Redmi working on a 64MP phone. Last week, Redmi announced a smartphone with a 64MP camera. The phone should come to the market in the last quarter this year. Redmi plans for the new phone to be a mainstream device. Yesterday, Xiaomi VP Lu Weibing shared a quick video, which shows that such a phone has already entered mass production.
In the clip, we can see that the camera setup will hold vertically aligned sensors, with the fourth one placed on the right.
We can’t see a pop-up mechanism, which means the new phone will come with a waterdrop notch inside of which the selfie camera will be placed.
Weibing also said that Redmi’s 64MP quad camera smartphone entered mass production around half a month ago, however he did not reveal any additional information.
Details are scarce about this Redmi smartphone right now, but we can expect to hear more about it in the coming weeks.
