Samsung S7 receives update for Android 8.0 on AT&T and Sprint

Today, AT&T and Sprint finally started to push in the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Active, and S7 edge. It’s expected that the rollout for the update will be phased.

Owners of the smartphone will receive an update notification soon but you can always check it manually, the build number for the AT&T update is R16NW.G891AUCU3CRE7 while G930PVPU6CRE7 and G935PVPU6CRE7 for the Sprint. The update weighs around a hefty size of 1.4GB so you may want to sip a cup of coffee while you wait for it to finish.
