Sony’s older phones to get Android 9.0
Many Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ Compact and Xperia XZ Premium users received new updates for their devices these days. It is surprising though that this list also contains the Xperia XZ1, becuase this phone was launched in 2013. It can rightfully be said that Sony hasn't forgotten about their older flagships.
Sony initially planned the new update to be available on October 26, however, it was delayed due to different errors in software, which is why we believe that the wait was worth it.

This update comes OTA in a package number 47.2.A.0.306, it's the same for all three devices and it brings a new camera interface with super slow-mo 1080p@960fps capabilites and HDR video modes. It is also worth to mention that Sony doesn't accept the 9.0 Pie navigation, so users will have to use on-screen navigation buttons. This is because of the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio.
Sony has also confirmed the update for Xperia XA2 that we can expect early next year.
