vivo iQOO Neo officially announced in China
Back n March, vivo introduced the iQOO phone. It came with the slogan “Monster Inside” and had 44W fast-charging support, together with the latest flagship chipset and plenty of software acceleration features to boost it even more. Now the company has announced a younger and more affordable handset by the name vivo iQOO Neo.
This phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset. Indeed, this is last year’s flagship chipset, but it’s still very powerful. The screen is 6.38” OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, with a fingerprint scanner built in.
Next to the Qualcomm chipset, the phone comes with either 6 or 8GB of RAM and either 64 or 128GB of internal storage. On the back, there is a triple camera setup, with a 12 MP main, an 8 MP wide-angle, and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, the selfie camera brings the resolution of 12 MP.
Since this is a gaming phone, the iQOO Neo also has a dedicated cooling system. It uses a vapor chamber and a piece of aluminum sandwiched between two multi-layer graphite slates. With this cooling, the phone reaches 3 degrees lower temperatures compared to other SD845 powered phones.
The current trend among gamers in China is to boost the performance of their devices to the maximum. The vivo iQOO Neo uses AI Turbo, Center Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and other features. All this comes under the name Multi-Turbo.
The phone runs on Funtouch OS 9, based on Android Pie. It also has a 4,500 mAh battery that supports the 22.5W vivo FlashCharge that can top 50% of the power cell in 30 minutes.
Coming in Black or Purple, the vivo iQOO Neo will cost around 230€ for the 6/64 GB variant and around 295€ for the 8/128 GB unit. The company’s already taking pre-orders on their own online store and major Chinese retailers. The first flash sale will take place on July 8.
