Huawei P20 Lite (2019) coming with four cameras

The Huawei P20 Lite was selling very well last year. So much so that it warranted a successor – the Huawei P30 Lite – just a couple of months ago. But in an apparent bid to further capitalize on the Huawei P20 Lite’s success, yet another replacement model is being developed.

The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) is set to be released at some point in the near future. Leaked information suggests the next-gen model will once again adopt a 5.84-inch LCD display. This time around, though, it’s expected to ditch the notch instead of which there will be a more modern looking punch hole in the top-left corner and a smaller chin.

Like the original smartphone, today’s leaked renders suggest the 2019 edition will adopt a glass panel on the back and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. This new budget device will seemingly adopt four individual sensors. Details about this setup remain minimal at the moment, but the primary camera is expected to offer a 24-megapixel resolution while another should be a dedicated Time-of-Flight sensor.
Accompanying all of this will be a range of internal upgrades. The Kirin 659 found inside last year’s model is set to finally be replaced by the much newer Kirin 710. This chip will then be paired with 4GB of RAM and a minimum of 64GB of storage rather than 32GB. Support for microSD cards is to be expected too, and as an added bonus a pricier version with 128GB of storage is said to come too.
Completing the entire setup should be Android 9 Pie straight out of the box along with a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone is also said to include Bluetooth 5.0 and 4G LTE support.
It’s unclear at the moment when exactly the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) will be made available to purchase, but once it happens the device should be sold in a range of three colors that include Midnight Black, Chrush Blue, and Charming Red. Regarding its pricing, information suggests it’ll start at €279 ($313).
