Huwaei is attempting to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710
According to a report, Huawei is attempting to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 which was released recently to the market. The company is working on their own chipset purportedly named as Kirin 710.
The Snapdragon 710 is built to close the gap between flagship and mid-tier smartphones in terms of performance. The chip is made using 10nm process to enable improved performances without sacrificing energy consumption.
Huawei’s chip will work he same as Snapdragon 710 albeit using an older technology. The Kirin 710 might be like an upgraded 659 and end up with a poor battery life however a neural processing will be utilized to dedicate itself to improve AI capabilities.
The unveiling of the processor might be around next month but its existence is yet to be confirmed but it’s likely that might also be announced at the same time as the rumored Huawei Nova 3.
