Nokia X71 (or the 8.1 Plus) coming on April 2

HMD will host an event in Taiwan on April 2 where they will unveil the Nokia X71 alongside the Nokia 9 PureView. The Nokia X71 will likely be called Nokia 8.1 Plus on the global market, and this will be the first Nokia phone to have a 48MP main camera sensor. This sensor will come paired with an ultra-wide secondary sensor, and both of them will come with Zeiss optics.

This will be the first Nokia phone that will come with an Infinity-O type notch and a front-facing camera placed inside of it. The screen will come with a 6.22" diagonal.

We should point out that the Nokia X71 and Nokia 8.1 Plus will not be entirely the same two devices. The X71 is supposed to come with a third camera on the back, while the 8.1 Plus will have the two already mentioned. The Nokia 8.1 Plus is expected to be an upper mid-range device, and due to this, it's safe to assume that it will not come with a flagship chipset. We expect it to come with a Snapdragon 710 chipset built in, while the Nokia 9 PureView will come with last year's flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset.
