OnePlus 7T Pro to support 5G connectivity

There is a new rumor out there talking about OnePlus preparing a 7T Pro model. This phone will be launching in several months. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has told the Financial Times that company will release a new 5G smartphone in Q4 this year – that’s October to December. Unlike the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, which saw limited availability across the world, the new device would get a global release.

The OnePlus 7T Pro will probably use Snapdragon 855+ chipset, but we don’t know what else is going to be different from its predecessor.

Lau Said: “if you want to be a premium phone in 2020, you have to be equipped with 5G technology.” He added: “We believe with the development of 5G technology next year we can have an [even] better performance. With the upcoming 5G era approaching, we are going to invest more.”

The company is looking to take over the customers from Huawei, Apple, and Samsung on the global market. OnePlus has increased both revenues and unit shipment volumes this year.
