Xiaomi may have certified Mi Mix 4 5G

Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 3 5G was one of the first 5G devices that came to Europe. Obviously, the company is already working on the Mi Mix 4 5G. We believe that the new phone has already been certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

A new Xiaomi smartphone, with the model number M1908F1XE and 5G capability, has been spotted on the MIIT website. The listing doesn’t say anywhere that the new phone is in fact the Mi Mix 4 5G, however, Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO has stated that the company was working on a new 5G device which will come in the H2 2019. We are accustomed to seeing the Mix series be revealed in the second half of the year. This leads us to believe that the newly certified phone is in fact the Mi Mix 4 5G.

Also, since the phone has 5G connectivity, and since the technology is limited to more premium devices at the moment, we don’t many options for Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi 9 came this year, but we believe that we’d already know about its 5G version if it was coming at all. One more, thing – whether this is the Mi Mix 4 or not, the new phone may be using the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset.
