Pixel 3 XL and iPhone XS Max on speedtest

Even though their shipments only started last week, the new Pixel 3 devices have already found themselves on different tests, including the expected speed comparison with the Apple iPhone XS. Things however don't look good for the new Google's flagship, if the speed is what you seek in an Android phone.

On the test (brought to us by PhoneBuff) we can see that the Pixel 3 XL was close by the iPhone XS Max in the first round of loading the apps, but the second time around, when the apps are supposed to be loaded from RAM, the XS Max emerged as the clear winner.

Althogh both the Pixel 3 XL and the iPhone XS Max have 4GB RAM, it is still true that iOS just manages the memory better, and this is exactly why the Pixel 3 XL lost. The Pixel 3 XL is far from slow though – this is an amazing phone by all means – it's just slower than the beast the iPhone XS Max is. It is clear now that Google have made a mistake putting only 4GB of RAM into their new flagship – 6GB of RAM would be a much better option that wound drastically improve this phone's performance.
