Redmi K20 series selling like hotcakes

Xiaomi sold the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro in 200,000 units in their first flash sale. Today, the company announced that the duo reached 1 million sales.

The duo was introduced on May 28, which means that Xiaomi needed just 4-5 flash sales to sell over a million units. These numbers would probably be even higher, but it seems that the production capacity is limited – the Pro version isn’t even available outside of China yet.

To celebrate 1 million sales, Redmi brand manager Lu Weibing announced promo sales in China – every buyer of a Redmi K20 will get a 10,000 mAh power bank. Those who opt for the Pro version will have the option to buy the 27W charger for just CNY29 (less than $5).

Weibing did not reveal whether the results are only from the Chinese market but it is likely the case. The two phones are yet to arrive in India, while other markets will only see the K20 under the name Xiaomi Mi 9T.
