Introduction
LG has presented two new devices on CES 2016 – the K7 and the K10. Today for our review we have the K10. In the factory box you get: user manuals, LG charging adapter, microUSB cable and 3.5mm LG headphones. With nice proportions and a 5.3” display, the K10 perhaps represents the best invested/gained ratio. This is an inexpensive device which runs on Android v6.0, and has an octa-core MediaTek chipset. Also, there’s the standard 13/5MP camera configuration which have become standard for the middle class. We have a version that supports LTE networks, so the rear facing camera has the resolution of 13MP. A decent list of connections is also presents.
This device comes in three colors: Gold, White and Indigo.
Unboxing
Display
The thing that is probably the best selling point of the LG K10 is its display, which is a 5.3” IPS LCD display. The resolution of the panel is HD (1280 x 720 pixels), which on a 5.3” diagonal translates to 277 PPI. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Screen to body ratio is 70.9%. The panel shows up to 16.7 million colors. For this price range, the display is truly great. Colors are very nicely reproduced, the brightness is great, and the sharpness of the screen is more than just good. The contrast is average, but the visibility on the sunlight is excellent. All in all, this is a perfectly suitable screen for this class.
Hardware and OS
The K10 is equipped with a MediaTek chipset, but there is also a version with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset. We have the version with the octa core MediaTek MT6753 chipset. This chipset has 8 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.3 GHz. Performances are on par with the competitors, and they offer fluid work of the device, even with more demanding multitasking. Mali-T720 MP3 GPU is in charge of the graphics, and it offers really decent performance when gaming. The device didn’t overheat too much, so there were no dropdowns in performances either. The K10 went over our expectations regarding its performance in 3D applications. In this device, we have 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card up to 32GB. The device comes with Android v6.0 Marshmallow preinstalled. The update to the Android 7.0 has not yet been officially announced. Synthetic AnTuTu benchmark test showed a score of 35.956.

The main camera is supported with a LED flash for low light shooting, and the video is captured in FullHD resolution and 30fps which is also very good. The front facing camera has the resolution of 5MP and also captures FullHD videos. Quality of photos made with the front facing camera are of average quality.

The battery of the K10 can easily be removed by simply removing the back cover of the device. It is a 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery. This device does not support quick charging, and it takes around 2 hours for a full charge with the original adapter.
With one full charge the device brings around:

Final words
Things that the LG K10 brings for its price are – excellent! It is a very good device, with a nice design, good performances and an even better price. With its fluid work and decent cameras, the LG K10 represents a perfect choice for those with a slightly shallower pocket. The NFC is also present, which a very big advantage.
