OnePlus to have 5G enabled phones in 2019

Carl Pei, OnePlus founder and CEO announced today that this brand will be one of the first smartphone manufacturers to implement 5G connection option. However, he didn't reveal any additional information about the device, but as rumors say that this will be the first 5G enabled device, it may well be called OnePlus 7. 

After Qualcomm's president Cristiano Amon stated that we can expect at least two 5G enabled phones next year, Carl Pei joined him on the stage. He confirmed that his company will be the first to launch a phone with 5G support, and that his team has already conducted testing in Qualcomm HQ is San Diego in August this year.

Considering the fact that OnePlus is already launching flagship smartphone, chances are that this 5G smartphone will have top specifications. Next to OnePlus, Huawei also stated that they plan to introduce a 5G phone in June 2019. Some other companies have also expressed their dedication towards 5G technology in 2019, and it has been announced that they will probably implement the Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem.
