Realme event – two new smartphones launched

Oppo’s sub-brand Realme held an event today which where we saw the launch of two new smartphones. Here’s all there is to know about them.
Realme 3 Pro
The Realme 3 Pro is finally official after many teasers, and the specs look awesome. The device has a 6.3” Full HD+ screen and a Snapdragon 710 chipset, better cameras and more RAM than the first Realme 3.
The new camera setup has two sensors, a 16MP, and a 5MP setup, with the same Sony IMX519 sensor we could see in the OnePlus 6T. The selfie camera how has 25MP resolution with fixed focus and standard f/2.0 lens. This is a huge improvement compared to the 13MP front-facing camera in the Realme 3. On the back, there is also a fingerprint scanner.
Inside the model 3 Pro, Realme placed a Snapdragon 710 together with three memory configurations – 4/64 GB, 6/64 GB, 6/128 GB. There is also a microSD slot for up to 256GB of additional storage. The memory card has its own designated slot, with two more for SIM cards in the tray.
The new phone runs of Android Pie with Color OS 6.0 interface on top of it. It brings a lot of fancy camera features, including Chroma Boost for more contrast photos, Nightscape Mode to take better pictures in the dark, and also slow-mo videos in 960 fps with HD quality.
The battery has the capacity of 4,045 mAh. Since Realme is Oppo’s offshoot brand, it got Oppo’s fast charging – there is the VOOC 3.0 with 20W charger inside the factory box. Sadly, it still uses the old micro USB standard, instead of the new USB-C.
Realme 3 Pro will come in three colors – Carbon Gray, Nitro Blue, Lightning Purple. The price will start from 180€ for the 4/64 GB variant and will go as high as 218€ for the 6/128 GB option.
Realme C2
Apart from the star 3 Pro, Realme has introduced an entry-level C2 device as well. The phone is an affordable handset but brings some midrange features that could disrupt the low-end market. The Realme C2 brings a 12 nm Helio P22 chipset for the price of just around 76€.
The new phone has a display of 6.1” HD resolution and a waterdrop notch. The chip is paired with either 2/16GB or 3/32GB memory combinations, but there is also a microSD slot for more storage. The main camera is the same setup as on the Realme C1 (2019) – 13MP + 2MP on the back, and a 5MP shooter on the front.
Since this is a 2019 device, it also comes with Android Pie with Color 6.0 on top. It has Chroma Boost and some basic slow-mo – 80 fps at 480p.
The phone will be offered in Diamond Blue and Diamond Black colors. It will arrive with the low price for the 2/16GB version, while the 3/32GB variant will cost 103€.
