Asus to launch ROG Phone 2 on July 23

Some reports have said last month that the second generation of the gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 2, will be launched sometime in July. These reports turned up to be true after the company has confirmed the launch date on the Chinese network Weibo. The poster states that the Asus’s new phone will be launched on July 23 at the event in Beijing, China.
We still know almost nothing about the phone itself, but it doesn’t stop us from speculating. The ROG Phone 2, the successor to the original ROG phone will probably have an updated 120Hz display, while the original phone only had 90Hz screen.
Aside from the updated screen technology, we expect the new phone to have a better chipset, jumping from Snapdragon 845 to 855. It is a known fact that Asus works with Tencent Games in order to produce the best-optimized games for this phone.
We should know more details about the ROG Phone 2 in the following days, as we’re moving closer to the launch.
